	Description
	Danocrine [Danazol] is a synthetic hormone which is indicated in a variety of medical problems such as endometriosis breast cysts and abnormal swelling of the body tissues. The active ingredient of Danocrine is Danazol. Dancorine [Danazol] suppresses the pituitary-ovarian axis. It depresses the output of both follicle-stimulating hormone FSH and luteinizing hormone LH. Danocrine [Danazol] is an androgen which is similar to testosterone. In females this medicine works by preventing the ovaries from producing certain natural substances hormones that can make these conditions worse. It further acts on the immune system to correct the problems related to angioedema. Danocrine [Danazol] is an oral medication which is available in the form of capsule. This medication should be taken regularly to get effective results. Danocrine [Danazol] should not be administered to patients suffering with undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding impaired hepatic renal or cardiac function Pregnancy Breast feeding Porphyria etc. You should follow the instructions given by your physician in regards to the restrictions on food beverages or activity while you are using Danocrine [Danazol]. In case you miss a dose of Danocrine [Danazol] then it should be taken immediately but if it is nearly time for your next dose then you should skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. 	There are certain drugs that interfere with the action of Dancorine [Danazol]. They are – Tegretol cyclosporine tacrolimus warfarin statin drugs such as lovastatin pravastatin anti-diabetic drugs. Danocrine [Danazol] may reduce the action of hormonal contraceptives.


	Uses
	Danocrine [Danazol] is used to treat pain and infertility caused by endometriosis in the treatment of cysts or lumps in the breast or for heavy menstrual flow or pelvic pain. It is also indicated in swelling of the abdomen/arms/face/airway due to a certain congenital disease [hereditary angioedema].


	Storage
	It should be stored at room temperature 15° C to 30° C 59° F to 86° F. It should be stored far from light and moisture. Different storage temperatures are required by different brands. Avoid storing the medicine in the bathroom. It should be kept far from children and pets.


	Precaution
