The active ingredient of Solifenacin generic is Solifenacin succinate. It belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergic or antimuscarinic receptor antagonist. Solifenacin generic [Solifenacin succinate] is used for the treatment of overactive bladder symptoms such as frequent urination, leaking accidents and sudden or frequent urges to urinate. Solifenacin generic [Solifenacin succinate] works by blocking cholinergic or muscarinic receptors, found on the muscle wall of the bladder. Due to the presence of these receptors the natural body chemical known as acetylcholine acts on these receptors and makes the muscles of the bladder to contract which cause overactive bladder symptoms. By blocking these receptors, the chemical acetylcholine cannot act on the muscle wall of the bladder and thereby help relieve the symptoms.
