How to use
Symbicort Inhalation Powder [Budesonide +Formoterol] has to be administered in two kinds of treatment approaches.
Maintenance therapy: This dosage is for regular maintenance of asthmatic patients. For children below the age of 6 years, a low strength dose has to be used. For adolescents between the ages 12 and 17 years, one to two inhalations twice daily are required. For adults who are 18 years of age and older, one to two inhalations twice daily is required. Some patients with a more severe case of the diseases may require up to 4 inhalations twice daily.
Maintenance and reliever therapy: For adults above the age of 18 years, two inhalations once a day is the usual recommended dosage, one taken in the morning and the other one taken in the evening. Some patients may require a dosage of two inhalations twice daily. This treatment is not recommended for children below the age of 18 years.
Patients should always be carrying a separate rapid-action broncholidator at all times in addition to Symbicort Inhalation Powder [Budesonide +Formoterol]. Also, close monitoring of the patients is required while therapy is going on.
Side Effects
Symbicort Inhalation Powder [Eformoterol fumarate] may cause certain side effects in some people. Most of them are not serious. The common side effects are headache, sore throat, oral thrush, stomach discomfort and sinusitis. These side effects usually go away by themselves, but in case they don’t, the doctor should be called in immediately.
Drug Interaction

Precaution
