How to use

Children, who are between the age of 12 and 18 years, are usually recommended a dosage of 0.63 mg thrice a day by nebulization. It should be administered every 6-8 hours.
Patients over 18 years of age who are not responding to 0.63 mg administered thrice a day may be benefited from a dosage of 1.25 mg thrice a day. This dosage is only meant for patients who have a severe asthmatic condition.
Side Effects
Xopenex [Levalbuterol HCL] may cause certain side effects in patients who are using the bronchodilator. Less serious side effects which are common are dizziness, anxiety, runny or stuff nose, cough, leg cramps, nervousness, tremors, headache or upset stomach. • monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) such as phenelzine (Nardil), isocarboxazid (Marplan) or tranylcypromine (Parnate)
• digoxin (Lanoxin)
• diet pills, caffeine or decongestants.
